The Gum Ball 08 -11th 12th & 13th April
‘create a natural institution for the people, the music and its progression’
The Gum Ball Music Festival is the real deal. An Australian event for those who like to kick back and soak it all in.
Based in gum tree territory, surrounded by the beautiful Hunter Valley wine region of New South Wales, it offers a little bit of everything for everyone.
For the last three years, The Gum Ball has been feeding off the Australian way of life, establishing family traditions and setting a culture to follow. Appealing to a growing audience, with its distinct down to earth country feel with a twist, The Gum Ball looks forward to its fourth year and future prospects as people resonate back to ‘basics’ with affinity for land and art.
The Gum Ball mission is to create a simple and exclusive atmosphere for people to relax and enjoy with family and friends, whilst providing the vessel and the opportunity for emerging artists and established performers to expose their talents on larger stages alongside their peers delivering eclectic quality music.
The story behind The Gum Ball begins with two young brothers Matt and Dan Johnston, who turned their love of music and good times, into a dream idea. They established Red Floor Productions and transformed the front yard of their parent’s 100acre bush property at Belford, into an arena and camping area to host their own music festival, with a difference.
Since traveling that long and aspiring three year road, The Gum Ball has now earned respect from the community.
